Peptide Evidence Explorer

A plain-language research database for the peptides people ask about most. Every compound is graded by how much human evidence exists, from randomized controlled trials down to cell-only studies, alongside its regulatory status. This is a reference for understanding the science, not a guide for using anything.

24Compounds indexed
0With human RCT evidence
0FDA approved as a branded drug
0Research chemicals, not approved

Read this first: Most compounds below are research chemicals that are not approved by the FDA for human use. A few are approved only as specific branded drugs (for example semaglutide as Wegovy or Ozempic). This tool describes evidence and status. It does not describe how to obtain, prepare, or use anything.

How to read the evidence tiers

Human RCT

Human randomized controlled trials

The strongest tier here. Randomized controlled trials in people have tested the compound, usually against a placebo. This is where confidence is highest, though an RCT existing does not by itself mean a compound is approved or appropriate for any individual.

Small human studies

Small or early human studies

Some human data exists, but it comes from small, early-phase, or narrowly focused studies. Results are preliminary and often not replicated at scale, so conclusions should be read with caution.

Animal only

Animal studies only

Evidence comes from animal models such as rodents. Effects seen in animals frequently fail to carry over to humans, so these findings describe biological potential rather than proven human benefit.

In-vitro / preclinical

Cell and laboratory studies

The weakest tier. Findings come only from cells, tissue, or other laboratory work with no whole-animal or human confirmation. This is the earliest stage of research and the furthest from any human conclusion.
